High Precision Tripod Ball Calibration Frame for 3D Scanners

High Precision Tripod Ball Calibration Frame for 3D Scanners

High precision Tripod Ball calibration frame designed for 3D optical scanners. Featuring ceramic standard balls and a stable triangular structure, ensuring accurate and repeatable measurement results.

Product Details

The Tripod Ball calibration frame is a high-precision reference tool designed for the calibration and verification of 3D optical scanning systems, including structured light scanners and handheld laser scanners.

This system consists of multiple high-precision ceramic standard balls mounted on a rigid triangular carbon fiber structure, ensuring excellent stability and dimensional consistency.

Each standard ball has a diameter of no less than 25mm, with roundness accuracy better than one-third of the measurement error of the tested instrument. The balls are arranged in a non-coplanar configuration, with no fewer than four spheres, ensuring robust spatial calibration.

The maximum center distance between spheres exceeds 500mm, providing an effective calibration volume for medium to large-scale measurement systems. The calibration uncertainty between any two spheres is controlled within U ≤ 5μm (k=2), ensuring high reliability and traceability.

This Tripod Ball system is widely used for calibrating 3D scanning devices based on structured light technology, including fringe projection systems and handheld laser line scanners. It is suitable for applications where high accuracy and repeatability are critical.
